My name is Jennifer Cerrone. I live in Valley Cottage, NY.
How did you find out about CrossFit Rising Legends?
I drove by and saw signs so I looked up the gym on Facebook and saw that the owner and myself had mutual friends. It took me a couple of months to actually come in though.
Why did you want to try this?
I always see those Crossfit athletes that are in great shape and so strong. It looked more exciting than the doing the stupid treadmill over and over....
How does Rising Legends differ from other experiences you’ve had at other Gyms?
I have NEVER stuck with a gym or fitness routine for this long. I’ve paid for The gyms but never actually went. I get bored easily and with this, there’s no getting bored! And although I was super intimidated when I first came in, Charly made that all go away. When I’m in a normal gym setting and don’t know anyone, I won’t do anything other than cardio because it’s intimidating and you don’t really know what you’re doing.
Why do you still CrossFit?
I still do this because it makes me feel good! I feel stronger than I ever have. It gives me a confidence that I never had before. And I love the people in the gym.
Has anything changed for you mentally? Physically?
I have muscles I never had before! And like I said, I have a confidence that I never really had. I am still a work in progress though. But I can’t wait to see even more changes as my Crossfit journey continues!
What would you say to someone new who’s thinking about starting?
I would say that this gym is awesome! Especially if you have never done anything like this before. It’s not one of those places where everyone is a super serious athlete and they make you feel less than. This gym is 100% supportive of your fitness journey and will teach you what you need to know. If you want a gym where you can work out, make good friends and know that the coaches care about your well being....then you’re in the right spot!
