Before joining CFRL what was your biggest struggle? What were your biggest frustrations? How did your struggle and frustrations affect your life? What did you feel like before joining CFRL?
Before CrossFit it was so easy to get stuck in the same routine at the gym. I felt like I was never making progress. I also had a lot of soreness in my upper back and my shoulders felt rolled forward.
What was it about CFRL that made you join?
I think CFRL is the only CrossFit gym I’ve ever been to/seen that’s open 7 days a week. I came in for the trial class and met Charly and David and signed up right then.
What made you stay with us? What do you enjoy the most about CFRL?
I love this gym. Whether it’s the morning, afternoon or weekend I always feel at home. All the coaches are great, endurance class is a good mix up. And the thing I love the most is I can bring my daughter to hangout in the pack n play.
How did our program help you? How is Life different for you now?
My daughter is 10 months old now but I still find a way to get to the gym most times and bring her with me if I need to. The gym has been great in accommodating us and I really appreciate it.
Were there any specific goals that you reached that you are particularly proud of? How did it make you feel?
I did not set out for any specific goals when I started but I know I am in much better shape than when I started. I’ve also lost some weight. My body feels balanced and I’m very happy with how I look and feel.
What would you tell someone interested in joining CFRL?
The hardest part is just showing up to the gym that first time. Meeting a new group of people gives me anxiety but that went away after 5 minutes of coming through the door. Also CrossFit like any activity takes time to improve and when I first started I could not do any of the movements properly and felt awkward but after a few classes it started making sense.
Is there anything personal you would like to add?
I enjoy ice cream
